The Company
Faithful Companion provides dignified, individual pet cremation services to families across the country. Their work is deeply personal. They help people through one of the hardest moments of pet ownership, and they do it with care, seven days a week, holidays included. As the company has grown to more than 250 people across 18 locations, that commitment to compassionate service has stayed at the center of everything they do.
The Challenge
Faithful Companion was growing fast, and many of its managers were newer to leading people. The company wanted to invest in them, not with a generic course, but with real development that would help them lead with confidence and support their teams through emotionally demanding work. They needed training that would actually change how their managers showed up, and that could keep pace as the company kept expanding.
- Newer Managers: A group of managers were relatively new to leadership and needed support building core people skills.
- Emotionally Demanding Work: Leading teams who serve grieving families takes empathy, resilience, and steady communication, skills the company wanted to strengthen.
- Growing Quickly: With new locations opening, Faithful Companion needed development that could scale alongside the business.
The Solution
Faithful Companion partnered with Bundle to give its managers live, expert-led training built around real practice. Each learner worked one-on-one with an expert trainer through a structured pathway, practicing real scenarios and getting feedback they could use right away. The training was personalized to each manager's role and experience level, so it met people exactly where they were.
- Built Around Practice: Managers worked on communication, team dynamics, emotional intelligence, problem solving, and more, through live role-play and real feedback, not videos or slides.
- Personal and Flexible: Learners were matched with expert trainers who tailored each session to their actual work and challenges.
- Low Lift for the Team: Bundle handled onboarding, scheduling, and engagement, so the program ran smoothly without adding to anyone's plate.
The Results
The program resonated with learners from the very first sessions, and the strongest proof came from what happened next: Faithful Companion kept expanding it.
- Near-Perfect Ratings: Learners rated the program 4.9 out of 5 for overall experience, with 5.0 for trainer effectiveness, relevance to their role, and engagement.
- They Came Back for More: After the first pathway, the company added a second six-session pathway for the same managers, then launched a separate cohort for its operations managers, growing from around 16 learners to more than 40.
- Consistent and Well-Used: Learners completed over 100 sessions in the first stretch, with participation staying strong cycle after cycle.
The Future
Faithful Companion is planning its next round of training across multiple cohorts, including returning managers, operations managers, and a new group of managers. With 18 locations today and more on the way, the company sees leadership development as a core part of how it grows. The goal stays the same: strong, confident leaders who take care of their teams, so their teams can take care of families when it matters most.
